My last month as a guest with Little Butterfly Wings

I am sad that my guest term with Little Butterfly Wings is over, but I feel so lucky to have worked with such amazing designs! Val is a fantastic designer and I look forward to seeing what she comes out with in the future. So here is what I've been blessed enough to play with this month!

This first layout uses the Just Add Water bundle. I love the fresh citrusy colors, and those smiling whales are so adorable! I had to stick them both on the page, of course.

This is my Story is the kit for this next page. How wonderful is this rich yet neutral color scheme? It was perfect to scrap this photo of my mother as a baby. I love that denim pocket!

This art journal mini, Keep Your Heart Strong, is so gorgeous! Many of the papers already look very messy in that wonderful art-journal way, and it made for an easy and beautiful page for me to design.

This fun page is of my mother in 9th grade. I'm lucky that she kept a fairly detailed little journal - one page for each of her years in school, filled with pertinent information. A is for Awesome, a collab with Mari Koegelenburg was a perfect choice for this layout!

When I saw Be Brave, a collab with The Hidden Heart, I knew it was perfect to scrap these photos of my son rock climbing. Don't you agree? There was so much eye candy inside the kit that I can't wait to use it again! It's such a fun kit with vintagey elements I didn't get a chance to use. The template is from Scrapping With Liz, template 14 revisited.

Little Butterfly Wings has really allowed me to explore art journaling like never before. Her last release during my guest term was Free as a Bird {kit} and the coordinating borders and word art. It honestly was not hard to create this page with them! Val does the hard work of making things messy for me.

Yet another art journaling page! When I saw that vintage girl, I knew I had to put her on the layout. I used Let Your Dreams Fly, a collab with Jenn Barrette and Free as a Bird doodles. I couldn't decide which wings to give her, so naturally I just used them both!

The Brothers and Sisters bundle, a collab collection with Studio Basic, was the collection I used for this next layout of me and my baby brother from the 80s.  It has the best journal cards and word art! Who hasn't said every one of those things to their siblings?!

Initially, I wasn't too keen on Hello Spring, a collab with Nerdy Scrappers. I wasn't sure I could use the hand drawn flowers and doodles, and how I could mix them with the more realistic looking items. Ultimately I couldn't resist the gorgeous colors calling out to me! I love that little airplane and banner.

My middle son's photos were taken recently, and when I saw the I am a Prince papers, elements, and journal cards, I knew it was the perfect kit for scrapping these photos of my little man! All my sons were dressed in the same color scheme, so I'll be returning to this one soon.

Finally, I scrapped my mother's senior portrait. I love how the kit Butterfly Basics: School Edition really lended to her 80s feel in the portrait. This layout is light and airy but there is a ton of depth to the kit!

And that was what I created with Little Butterfly Wings' designs during my last month as a guest creative team member. Hopefully I'll have the chance to work with Val's awesomeness again in the future!
