Fun with Chelle's Creations!

I've made just a few layouts with Chelle's Creations designs lately. Life has been so busy!

First is a layout about my second son's "cheeto tooth," how he lost it, and then how we celebrated. It's hard to find a cheeto themed kit, naturally, but Rainbow Golds worked so well! All the shades of yellow and orange were perfect.

Next is a kit I've used many times because I love it so much! It has the perfect boy colors, which of course get used a lot in this household: About a Boy. It happened to match spot on with these photos of my littlest in his special outfit. I love how this one turned out.

I made this page for an All About Me challenge. Can you tell what it's about? My love affair with chocolate! I used Chocolate Lovers, My Sweet Valentine, and a fun wavy template by Scrapping with Liz. The dripping chocolate at the top is the perfect accent!

Lastly, here's another kit I've used multiple times: Play and Grow, along with the coordinating word art, and the fun Chalked cards. The bright colors are so wonderful with little baby toys in the photos. Love this sweet layout with the pictures of my cute baby boy!

That's all for September with Chelle's Creations! Thanks for looking!

Something old, something new with Suzy Q Scraps

September has been a busy month for Suzy Q Scraps! Suzy has rereleased some older collections with new bits added to them and released another addition to her ever-growing Memories and Moments collection. Everything has an autumnal glow to it!

First up is the newest addition to the M&M collection, Memories and Moments: Autumn. LOVE this color scheme and all the leafy cut outs. Really fun and perfect for layouts for pictures of my boys playing in the leaves. I'm rather pleased with the title work!

This one is a previously released collection with new journal cards and alphas, Pumpkin Patch. I wanted to make use of those fun journal cards, so I chose to use a Suzy's Simple Story Grids 9 template to make it quick and easy. I love the pops of purple in this collection - so perfect for autumn and a visit to the pumpkin patch, don't you agree?

Finally, another previously released collection with cool new additions: Happy Haunting! Are you ready for Halloween yet? My boys are already talking about what they want to dress up like and making all sorts of plans. I made this page about this trio of pumpkins we carved a couple years ago. Aren't the stick figure people too cute?!

That's about it for September! Looking forward to seeing what Suzy Q Scraps comes up with for October!

Clever Monkey Graphics brings color to September

Tracey of Clever Monkey Graphics has released some GORGEOUS, bright and colorful kits this month! I love how she always has such rich color schemes... just my style.

Fade into Fall is a beautiful kit about the changing season from summer to fall and all the lovely colors that brings. I thought this phot from a couple years ago with that sunflare. The pops of purple are my favorite!

Hipster Wannabe is a fun collab with Tracy Martin! It's got everything you need to scrap a page about your little hipster... or yourself! It was also great to use for a layout about my and my husband's journey juicing.

Finally, an awesome kit for all you WHOVIANS out there.... Loving the Doctor! It has the best themed elements for a Doctor Who layout. All the villains, phrases, and the TARDIS, everything you'll need to create a wonderful page. We recently discovered the series and my entire family are hooked. Here are 2 pages I made with the kit!

This wraps up September with Clever Monkey Graphics!

Going big with Dream Big Designs!

I have a few layouts to share with you for September! I'm having a hard time keeping up with everything lately. Hopefully I'll get back in the swing of things soon.

First up is a fun page from our recent vacation to St Louis, at the Science Center. New Discoveries bundle was a perfect choice to create with for this page about the energy section. I especially love the light burst elements. Aren't they fun?

A new release for this month, Raceway bundle is so fun for your little racer photos! They'd be great for NASCAR, Pinewood Derby, Kindy 500s, and even just photos of playing with Hot Wheels. I had this fun photo from a visit to the Children's Museum to scrap with.

Our zoo membership has expired, but I still have quite a few trips left to scrap! This was a couple months ago. I thought the Into the Wild bundle was a fun choice for this page. I love all the animal elements, and the color scheme is perfect for a zoo kit and page. I also used a template from A Piece of Me templates by Scrapping with Liz.

Finally, another older kit, the Down by the Banks bundle. It was a wonderful, rustic color scheme for this page about a family walk. It has lots of goodies for scrapping feeding ducks and geese, which we saw but I didn't get any photos of, for some reason.

That wraps it up for this month! I'm looking forward to all the goodies that October will bring.

Busy busy with Memory Clips!

Ramona has been busy creating this month! I have several layouts from awesome new kits and bundles to share with you. Are you ready?!

This layout is about my mother's 5th grade year. I'm so lucky she kept such detailed notes about each of her school years! This bundle, Hall Pass, had the perfect colors to coordinate with her 70s clothes, but it could easily work for teenagers today.

This next one is a really awesome bundle called Honest and True - so perfect for all your Cub and Boy Scout layouts. I especially love the badge elements. They look SO realistic! It was easy to create this fun page about a Blue and Gold Banquet a few years ago.

It's All Relative is a kit that has been given away free with a $10 purchase for the last half of September, and it will go into her store on October 4th. It's a gorgeous kit for heritage pages! I love the layout I created for my mother's newborn hospital photo. Isn't that vintage element perfect?!

Finally, Puttin' on the Ritz is a fun dance-themed kit. It has loads of silhouettes of dancers performing different styles, but I didn't have any photos that were truly "theme." I did have this great photo from my parents' senior prom, and that was indeed a dance! The colors matched quite well, don't you think?

That's all for now!

Joining Clever Monkey Graphics' CT!

I am beyond thrilled to join Clever Monkey Graphics by Tracey Monette's CT! Tracey creates such rich kits, fully loaded with intense color schemes and fun elements! I am loving having access to all these gorgeous designs. I've made a few layouts with them so far... here's a peek!

This fantastic kit is called Today I Am Happy. It may be one of my favorite kits of all time. The color scheme is so gorgeous and rich, and I adore all the graphic papers. How amazingly perfect is that arch paper for my layout of the Gateway Arch from our recent St. Louis trip?! Ugh I love it so much!

This kit, Like Dad, I actually purchased a while back and just got around to using. This is my husband and his father, this past father's day. The manly color scheme is awesome, and I love the metal elements.

Yet another page for our St, Louis vacation album, Swim Like a Fish was a fun kit choice to scrap our visit to Citygarden's splash park.I love the acrylic splash elements and the bright colors! There is so much goodness that this can be used again and again, easily!

Haha, yet ANOTHER page for our STL vacation book. We got up close and personal with a camel at Grant's Farm, and once I saw this hand drawn camel in Zoodles of Fun, I just had to use it to create this page! I love that camel's sweet face, and there are so many other animals drawn in a similar vein. Like its name, this kit really is so fun!

Lastly, I used the collab with Meagan's Creations On the Trail collection to design this double page spread for our climb of Monks Mound at Cahokia Mounds on our way home from - you guessed it - St. Louis! This collection is overloaded with all kinds of digital goodness it was hard to choose just some to include on these pages!

That's all for now! Thanks for looking at my designs. :)

Yay for Suzy Q Scraps!

I recently completed my guest term in August as a Summer Hopeful with Suzy Q Scraps, and I was asked to join the full-time team. Of course I said yes! Suzy's kits are so fun and colorful. I only have 2 layouts to share with you right now, but I'm sure there will be tons more in the future!

First up, I used the Halls of Learning collection. I love this new school collection! The colors are perfect for scrapping older kids, who are outgrowing the primary color schemes of their younger days. As mom of a 7th grader, I know he'll appreciate it if I don't use "baby" kits on his layouts. This layout is about my mother's 7th grade year... she has destroyed all copies of this photo, so my layout is mostly about how there is no more photos of this year!

Second, and lastly, I used Beep Beep Boop Beep kit, as well as Simple Story Grids 1, Stamp Alphas 1, and Oopsie Doodle Borders 3. I tend to be a 1-kit scrapper, so it was fun to go outside of my box and pull from so many different areas.

That catches you up for now! I know Suzy Q Scraps has some amazing things coming up, and I look forward to sharing them with you!

My last month as a guest with Little Butterfly Wings

I am sad that my guest term with Little Butterfly Wings is over, but I feel so lucky to have worked with such amazing designs! Val is a fantastic designer and I look forward to seeing what she comes out with in the future. So here is what I've been blessed enough to play with this month!

This first layout uses the Just Add Water bundle. I love the fresh citrusy colors, and those smiling whales are so adorable! I had to stick them both on the page, of course.

This is my Story is the kit for this next page. How wonderful is this rich yet neutral color scheme? It was perfect to scrap this photo of my mother as a baby. I love that denim pocket!

This art journal mini, Keep Your Heart Strong, is so gorgeous! Many of the papers already look very messy in that wonderful art-journal way, and it made for an easy and beautiful page for me to design.

This fun page is of my mother in 9th grade. I'm lucky that she kept a fairly detailed little journal - one page for each of her years in school, filled with pertinent information. A is for Awesome, a collab with Mari Koegelenburg was a perfect choice for this layout!

When I saw Be Brave, a collab with The Hidden Heart, I knew it was perfect to scrap these photos of my son rock climbing. Don't you agree? There was so much eye candy inside the kit that I can't wait to use it again! It's such a fun kit with vintagey elements I didn't get a chance to use. The template is from Scrapping With Liz, template 14 revisited.

Little Butterfly Wings has really allowed me to explore art journaling like never before. Her last release during my guest term was Free as a Bird {kit} and the coordinating borders and word art. It honestly was not hard to create this page with them! Val does the hard work of making things messy for me.

Yet another art journaling page! When I saw that vintage girl, I knew I had to put her on the layout. I used Let Your Dreams Fly, a collab with Jenn Barrette and Free as a Bird doodles. I couldn't decide which wings to give her, so naturally I just used them both!

The Brothers and Sisters bundle, a collab collection with Studio Basic, was the collection I used for this next layout of me and my baby brother from the 80s.  It has the best journal cards and word art! Who hasn't said every one of those things to their siblings?!

Initially, I wasn't too keen on Hello Spring, a collab with Nerdy Scrappers. I wasn't sure I could use the hand drawn flowers and doodles, and how I could mix them with the more realistic looking items. Ultimately I couldn't resist the gorgeous colors calling out to me! I love that little airplane and banner.

My middle son's photos were taken recently, and when I saw the I am a Prince papers, elements, and journal cards, I knew it was the perfect kit for scrapping these photos of my little man! All my sons were dressed in the same color scheme, so I'll be returning to this one soon.

Finally, I scrapped my mother's senior portrait. I love how the kit Butterfly Basics: School Edition really lended to her 80s feel in the portrait. This layout is light and airy but there is a ton of depth to the kit!

And that was what I created with Little Butterfly Wings' designs during my last month as a guest creative team member. Hopefully I'll have the chance to work with Val's awesomeness again in the future!
