In the Pool with Chelle's Creations and more!

First up, Chelle has an amazing new release for the 3rd week of Iron Scrapper! In the Pool is a funtastic kit with bright, citrusy colors perfect for scrapping all your poolside adventures, whether they be at a big pool, water park, or a blow up pool in the backyard. I know you want to check out the preview!

and if you pick it up this weekend, for 20% off, you get the matching little people set FREE!

And here's my take on it! I adore that water paper!

And I finally got back into the swing of scrapping after taking a week off for vacation and made a few more layouts! This one is my second son's baptism. I used Chelle's Choose The Right {BAPTISM} kit. It's an LDS themed kit, and while I am not LDS, my son was baptised Catholic and the kit worked well for the page. I love all the greenery and layers!

Next I knew I wanted to scrap a series of pictures I took of my fourth son when I had just gotten my new fancy camera. He has always been such a ham for the camera and I love the photo of the two of us. I don't use the color pink too much but Love Grows bundle and the coordinating Rub Ons were perfect complement to all the green in the photos. I love all the denim elements!

My two oldest boys went on a special trip to see their uncle this summer for a couple of days, and my brother was lovely enough to text me a few photos of how they spent their time. I knew they needed to be included in our family album for the year! Oh Snap! and Oh Snap! word bits were fun choices to use to scrap these iPhone snapshots. I love all the camera elements and the flash bursts!

I'm slowly working on our vacation album to St. Louis, Missouri, and the kit Choose the Right {TREK} was a perfect choice to scrap our visit to the Museum of Westward Expansion. It is LDS themed (so lots of word strips referencing that), but it works so well for pioneer type layouts, period.  I love all the felt elements and those little sunbonnets!

Dream Big Designs has Sandy Toes!

I'm loving my guest term at Dream Big Designs so far! Cheri has come out with some amazing designs, and this week is no expection. For the third week of Iron Scrapper, Sandy Toes is a super fun beach themed kit. I absolutely adore this color scheme and it makes me wish we had gone to the beach for vacation instead! Check out the preview for the bundle! You can buy the bundle or pick and choose individual parts.

Luckily I had some photos from a beach vacation a couple years back to work with! I used the Instalife Cards to create a fun blocked layout. It was super easy to do and I love the result! Plus I think the kid in the photo is kinda cute. :)

Add this amazing bundle to your stash! How you can you resist it?

Head to the beach with MHK Scraps!

For the Twice as Nice event at ScrapMatters, MHK Scraps teamed with Crossbone Cuts for this fun kit and bundle - Beaches and Cream! It's filled to the brim with everything you need for both beach photos and ice cream photos.... an awesome summer kit! The color scheme is just as you'd expect - CREAMY. It's smooth like sherbet, My layout below is ice cream themed, but many other CT members found it perfect for their beach photos too. So cute! Preview first and then my layout :)

It makes you feel a little hungry, doesn't it? Yum! I'll be back soon with more goodies from MHK Scraps.

Twice as Nice with Memory Clips by Ramona

At ScrapMatters, there's a super fun sale with TONS of collabs all by ScrapMatters designers! Ramona of MemoryClips paired with 3 other designers to create some fantastically fun collabs for us.

First up is a kit and bundle called When Life Gives you Lemons, by MemoryClips and Down This Road Designs. This bundle especially is filled to the max with such fun themed elements and I love the color scheme. That pop of blue in there keeps this kit so fresh! Here's the layout I made with it, also using a template from What's In Your Pocket? vol.1 by Cluster Queen Creations (a FWP set).  I don't often work with such girly colors, but I love how this turned out! It may be one of my favorite layouts.

Next is a super fun bundle called Here's the Scoop by LDrag Designs and MemoryClips. It's a super sweet kit for all your ice cream scrappin' needs! It hits the spot. :) I love all the hand drawn frozen treat doodles. I didn't have any ice cream pics with my boys somehow (must remedy that ASAP) so it was a photo of a sweet treat for my layout. Makes me hungry just looking at it!

Finally, It's a Date by Memory Clips and Victoria Feemster Designs is the third collab I was blessed to work with this week. I love the rich color scheme with the pops of bright color. My husband and I are long overdue for a good date - with 5 kids, dates are hard to come by - and this kit has inspired me to put more time into my relationship with my husband. I need to plan a nice date for the two of us... and scrap it later, of course! The photo on this layout is from our family date on our 10th wedding anniversary this past April. I love that retro card peeking out from behind it!

That's all for now, folks! I'll be back soon with more goodies from MemoryClips by Ramona soon!

Guest spot - Little Butterfly Wings!

My guest spot for Little Butterfly Wings started this month! Val creates such fun designs that
are a little retro, a little funky, and a lot of amazing. I'm so thrilled to be on the team for the next two months. I've already worked with some fantastic designs. I have 4 pages to share with you!

In this first one, I used Disco Party, a collab by Little Butterfly Wings and Mari Koegelenberg. It is a very rad 1980s themed kit - lots of tubular word art and elements. I am trying to scrap my personal history for my children, and this awesome kit inspired me to make a page about what happened in the world the year I was born. I love the results!

Next, I know I wanted to use the Gone Squirrelly papers, elements and word art to create a page about our recent camping trip. The color scheme is so fun and down to earth. I know I'll use it for more pages about this trip! And I crazy love that banner.

Little Butterfly Wings' contribution for The Lilypad's July Build Your Own Collab were Lemonade Stand papers, elements, and journal cards. I was inspired by the journal cards and the fresh color scheme, and I created a layout in honor of one of my favorite drinks. It was actually selected as a Gallery Stand Out at MyScrapbookArt.com recently, my very first GSO. I'm really pleased with it!

Val's newest release is Away We Go, a mega collab by  Little Butterfly Wings, Allison Pennington & Micheline Martin, along with some fantastic coordinating journal cards. I knew it was perfect to use for our recent vacation travel photos, and I think I was right. I love how this layout turned out! Isn't it fun? I think my favorite thing is that fabulous alpha.

That's all for now! I really look forward to working with more of Val's amazing designs.

Dream Big Designs guest spot!

Every time Dream Big Designs would post on Facebook to the Dream Team that there were new goodies in the forum, I would dream that were me! I posted on Facebook to that affect, and Cheri said to send in an application. Luckily for me, Cheri said I could guest for a month and we'll see how it goes. That's still very exciting for me! I've had the opportunity to work with some wonderful designs already.

Boom Sizzle Sparkle is a wonderful kit designed around a fireworks theme. It is gorgeous and perfect for colorful fireworks photos - whether they be 4th of July or Disney World! I, however, chose to use this kit and bundle for an off-theme layout. My youngest son Bram's 5 month photos! It worked perfectly with the colors in the photos. Loved using it!

The next bundle I worked with was Catch of the Day - so perfect for all your fishing photos! I think it could work for lake photos too. I didn't have any personal photos to use at the moment, so I was able to scrap a page for Cheri and help her get a bit of scrapping done too. I love all the themed elements - the bug eyes on the fish crack me up. So fun!

Dream Big Designs has some amazing releases upcoming! I can't wait to share them with you. Stay tuned!

Chelle's Creations has a lot going on!

I haven't been quite so prolific with my scrapping lately because of vacation and simply dealing with all my boys being home on summer vacation. 5 boys = busy, busy, busy! So I only have 3 pages to share with you since last time.

This first layout uses an adorable kit and bundle called Apple of My Eye. I love the word art and all the felt elements in the kit. It's great for scrapping a trip to the apple orchard or a sweet page about whoever is the apple of your eye. And how cute is that owl?!

Next, the Iron Scrapper contest has started at Scrap Orchard and Chelle's Creations is release something new for you every week! The first week of July, In the Backyard, Little People, and In the Backyard (little people} were the new releases! The color scheme is really fun and perfect for all your backyard adventures. And Little People paper dolls are such a cute addition to any page. A little birdie told me there may be clothes for all occasions coming out to dress up these adorable little dolls, so keep your eyes out! I love the pocket and little magnifying glass on my layout.

Chelle's Creations' newest release is At the Park and At the Park {little people}. Right now, if you buy At the Park, you get the coordinating Little People pack for free! What a deal. I love popping these little figures into my layouts to create cute little scenes. I love using all the word strips as a type of journaling and that words paper so much!

That's all for now! I can't wait to see what Chelle's Creations releases next week!

Step into the BIG BACKYARD with Memory Clips and Designs by Day (plus more!)

Ramona of Memory Clips and Designs by Day have collaborated to bring us this fantastic collection - Big Backyard! I love this rich color scheme and all the word art and paint splatters. This collection is perfect for scrapping a day at the park, playing in the backyard, basically anything and everything for outdoor fun!

Here's my layout using these fun goodies! I adore all the elements I used to create that scene in the upper right. It was so fun to create with! I could easily reuse this kit again and again.

Also new is Memory Clips latest addition for Scrap Your Story: July and Clip It Templates, v2. I love that there are so many photo spots in the templates! With 5 kids, I usually needs space for lots of photos of my boys. These fit the bill!

I used both for my next layout from a friend's daughter's recent birthday party. I love the krafty paper and the pops of yellow in this kit, reminiscent of the fireworks themselves. Very fun!

That's it for this update with Memory Clips! There are two - count them, TWO! - amazing collabs releasing next Friday. I'll have major sharing to do next week!
